Nobody told me about mastitis or clogged ducts

Nobody told me about mastitis or clogged ducts

I never read the baby books all the way through. I probably should have but I just never got around to it. I think I didn't want to accept or know what was coming at the end of the third trimester or after...nobody told me about mastitis or clogged milk ducts!

Mahalo to our community on IG for all of the suggestions - I did get a bunch of helpful tips and I wanted to share them with you in the event you suffer the same pain at some point in your breastfeeding or weaning journey.

My Breastfeeding Journey

My Breastfeeding Journey

I am so grateful I was able to breastfeed each of my keiki (and pump while I worked). I know it is not always the case but in honor of World Breast Feeding Week, I just wanted to briefly share my journey. Whether you are on this journey currently or are now done with this chapter of your life...or maybe had challenges or couldn't continue, or maybe didn't have the chance...know that you are amazing Mama.

The Lei Collection Story Continued: Lei Omaomao & Lei Anuenue

This lei collection evolved into so much more than I could have imagined. From what I thought would be a one time design, it quickly developed into an entire creation.

5 Things I wish I knew when I started my business

5 Things I wish I knew when I started my business

Seems like everyone these days has some sort of side hustle...I remember always having some sort of money making venture as a kid - from making friendship bracelets or flower bead rings & bracelets, to selling things from magazines to my family, to selling my science notes in college and starting my first screen printing hustle at UNLV (HI-drophilic!)

How the Lei Collection Started: Na Lei o Hawaiʻi

The concept of this lei was lei that were special to me and my 'ohana and quickly grew into more. Besides lei that I cherished, we also added some native lei.

Back to School...but from Home

Back to School...but from Home

The only thing that kept me sane was knowing that there was a lot of other parents asking themselves the same questions and trying to make the best decision for their keiki. I know my hours are somewhat flexible and I can work in the tiny moments of downtime, but my heart goes out to the families that don't have that luxury...To the teachers who also have young keiki that need their help.

3 Reasons Why I Buy Freshly Made Baby Food

Now that I have three keiki I buy baby food. I used to love making baby food. But running a small shop and raising 3 keiki doesn't make it realistic for me right now. Thank goodness for Healthy Baby Hawaii!

Why Shopping for an OBGYN is important

Why Shopping for an OBGYN is important

I never realized how important it was to shop around for an OBGYN.

No matter who you choose as your OBGYN...do not get lazy like me. Make sure you have a doc that you have good vibes with and also treats their staff nicely. Don't put it off if you aren't happen. I wish I shopped around sooner...

Inside the Box Photos

Inside the Box Photos

Are you shopping online more? I know we are. My keiki love to play with the large boxes we get from Amazon. Usually they color all over them and use them to make forts or cars...but this time I saw a photo of kids in a box and decided to try to recreate it!
